What is a 64 slice CT scan?
Q: I am a 37 years old man who got an x-ray done recently. The doctor suspects adenopathy and asked me to go for CT scan. I consulted another doctor for a second opinion and he suggested a 64-slice CT Scan. But my previous doctor said that normal chest scan is enough for now. Which type of scan should I undergo?
A:A 64 slice scan is just a CT scan with a machine that is technically superior. For routine purposes you do not need to go looking for a 64-slice scan.
