What diet precautions do I need to take after malaria with jaundice?

Q: I was diagnosed with pyrexia of unknown origin. It was malaria with hrombocy toperia (as given in the discharge card), I was hospitalised for 4 days due to it. The doctor says I had malaria and jaundice. I have been advised not to eat food outside. I should not eat fried, packaged and proceeded food. I require your advise to strengthen my body. Can I go to the gym? Before this I was regular at gym. What kind of juices can I drink? Which kind of food should I avoid completely and what special precautions do I need to take?

A:You have recovered from your recent illness and I do not feel that there is any need to restrict your diet and you should be able to eat and drink as you would wish and avoid alcohol for about six months because of your recent episode of jaundice.
