Urinary stone

Q: I am an Indian working in Saudi Arabia in the field of Management. Since last one month I feel pain in back and the colour of the urine differs dark yellow or light yellow and thrice dark red. I consulted doctors who said that it might be due to stone in urinary bladder. I was advised to under go an X-ray and later told that may be the stone is out. Till now I do not know whether the stone in urinary bladder exists and since last few days I have mild pain but the urine is yellow coloured. Kindly advise me urgently.

A:Your ultrasound or X-ray will tell the size of stone and its location. If it is upto 6 mm it is likely to come out. Ultrasound is important as it shows if there is any swelling in the kidney. If it is there, then the stone may have to be removed surgically. Get two ultrasounds done in a gap of 2 weeks and if swelling increases then get it removed. If it is in the bladder, then it can come out if it is upto 8 mm in size. You can send me the X-ray report on my email.
