Third testis

Q: I have a third testis in addition to the two which everyone has. I want to know what is it and is it cancer or some tumour. I have tried out the testicular self examination and have found no lumps etc. The third testis is independent of the two usually present. It does not pain and has remained of the same size ever since. Kindly advice.

A:I have gone through your history and the result of your self examination. I conclude on the basis of this information that you probably have a cyst of the structures in the scrotum (testis, epididymus or cord) however it would be wise to consult a general surgeon for these cysts can be injured by accident.
