Skin - morphea profundus
Q: I am 29 male and have been diagnosed with Morphea profundus. I started having a blue scar which extended in a linear pattern on my forehead. This scar started between my eye brows and my hair is falling too from this. I was treated with flutivate cream to be applyed on forehead with one tablet daily of finpecia for my hairfall. The inflammation has disappeared but the scar remains. Please advise.
A:Morphea runs a variable course. When the active phase subsides, an atrophic pigmented scar is left behind which persists indefinitely. Once resolution has occurred, plastic surgery may help.
