Should I be worried about sinus bradycardia?

Q: I am 24 years old. I have recently joined a multinational company. Before joining they made me undergo a medical test. Everything was normal but my ECG test report says that I have sinus bradycardia with early repolarisation syndrome. I am feeling tensed after this report. How serious is this?

A:Many people who exercise regularly have sinus bradycardia (slower heart rate) so that they can get more reserve when they exercise. It is, in most cases, a sign of good health. Early repolarisation is also a normal variant and carries no bad prognosis. There is no reason for worry.
