Sex - lust

Q: How to cure sexual lust? It has resulted in anxiety and depression. I do not feel happy although there is nothing lacking.

A:Lust is not a disease and therefore has no 'cure'. The problem that you seem to have is that you think about sex more than you would want to. Though there is nothing wrong in fantasising about sex per se, if you think it is affecting you to a point that you have started feeling anxious and depressed, you should try and find alternatives to this. This can be accomplished by engaging yourself in more acceptable physical activities like playing sports, reading, going out with friends, etc. This would help to take your mind off sex. Starting a regular exercise programme, including morning walk, would also help. In case you are not able to cope up, we suggest that you consult a psychologist or a psychiatrist for counselling.
