A:Your mother-in-law has cancer breast. Her chances of cure depend on the size of the tumour and number of axillary nodes involved. If size of tumour is less than 1 cm and no lymph node involved, then chance of cure exceeds 95%+. Where as if size of tumour is 4 cm and no. of lymph nodes involved are more than 3, then chance of cure is about 40-50%. Persons who are cured lead a normal quality of life.
