Kidney - Urinary problem

Q: There is a mild pain in my lower abdomen on both sides, more on right side. Urine and ultrasound checks done. The ultrasound was done with and without urine. However the report says that there was 60ml of urine (after passing) in the bladder. There is no family history of urinary problems.I have had mild BP 130/95, under medication and stone in gall bladder. No pain and was operated for piles about 4 years back. Please advise.

A:If your urine report is alright and on ultrasound, your kidneys are alright then you dont have kidney problem. As for residual urine, it is important especially if you have any urinary problem like difficulty in passing, poor stream, taking longer time in passing or interruption of stream, sense of incomplete voiding, getting up at night etc. In that case you need to get a uroflowmetery done. In any case it can easily be treated by medicines only.
