Is there any organisation that helps in the treatment of hypoplasic pituitary?

Q: My daughter is one year old and has hypoplasia of pituitary. She needs hormone replacement Somatotropin injection. Please guide me if there is any organisation which can give aid to procure the medicine.

A:To the best of my knowledge there is no organization which provides free or subsidised treatment with Growth hormone injections in India. Patients who are registered under the Employees Health Insurance Scheme (EHIS) are often provided treatment by the organization. Some state governments and public sector undertakings and Ministries (Railways) have provided treatment with GH for some beneficiaries in the past for a few years. But in general, no government organization is providing treatment on a long-term basis because of the high cost involved. There have been cases where some financial help has been provided through relief funds of PM or Chief Minister or local MPs. There is no non-governmental or voluntary agency that provides help in this regard.
