Is non-invasive angiography possible?

Q: My father, aged 65 years, height 5.2 and weighing 54 kg was experiencing heaviness in the chest during heavy exercising but never during normal activities. He did TMT, in which he failed in 1.5 minutes. But all the other blood tests are fine. The doctor has advised for an angiography. Is there a facility for non-invasive angiography in India?

A:Angiography is an invasive procedure which is safe and carries very little risk. It is recommended for your father as the benefits far outweigh the risks. CT Angiography is not yet established and recommended for studying coronary anatomy as a routine.
