Is it safe to get my child's front teeth removed?

Q: My son is aged 3 years and his front teeth are infected. The dentist has given some antibiotic and according to him, if the infection does not get cured by this medicine, my child's front teeth have to be removed. Four of my child's front milk teeth had already been removed at age of 1 year. The dentist said that this is a side effect of an antibiotic which my wife had taken during her pregnancy. Is there is any side effect of removing the milk teeth at this age? Can this be done by a normal dentist or should I approach any specialist for this?

A:If there is repeated infection either get a root canal treatment done or get the teeth removed. New teeth will come at 7 to 8 years of age. Most probably, it is a infection and not a side effect of antibiotics.
