If a child is given an overdose of hepatitis B vaccine, is there any harm?
Q: If a 4 years old child is by mistake given 1.0 ml of the Hepatitis B vaccine (first dose) instead of 0.5 ml, is it any harm to the child?
A:The vaccine consists of surface antigen. No harm will come to the child except for, may be, some fever and local reaction at the injection site.
