Q: My right kidney is functioning very little - 3.6% compared to left kidney 96% (as confirmed by IVU and radio nucleide study). Blood and urine tests are normal. Please advise whether I should go for operation for removal of right kidney or keep it as such and is there any chance to revive the kidney?

Ultrasound of kidneys and bladder is important to give more information in this regard. I also need to know your age. I hope there is no urine infection or infection in the right kidney. I need to know all these before I can advise you about the possibility of revival of kidneys or surgery.
