How can ear itching be managed?

Q: I am a 41 years old male suffering from ear itching. My recent AEC counts are 550. Is escalation of AEC counts the reason for ear itching? If I take Cetirizine, there is no itching. My FBS levels are 117. How can ear itching be treated?

A:The absolute eosinophil count (AEC) is marginally raised. This indicates an allergic tendency. Use Cetrizine as and when needed. Locally apply Fucibet / Sofradex / Neosporin-H or other suitable antibiotic steroid cream with a bud. Use of olive oil locally every week or so would help.
