Exercise - flat hips

Q: I am 37 years old guy. My buttocks are very under developed and flat. When I wear trousers, it looks very odd from behind. I just cannot wear jeans for it looks very bad with flat back. Kindly suggest some exersize whereby I can develop my back.

A:You could do some weight trainig exercises specifically for the buttock area. Among these are:
1. Squats
2. Lunges
Both of the above can be done at home and in the gym, with or without weights. It would be better if you started to do them without weights to get the body accustomed to it and then add light weights on your shoulders while you do the exercises.

3. Leg Press
4. Hamstring/ Leg Curls
Both of these require machines tha are normally found in the gym. Please start off with lighter weights and build it upwards slowly. As a rule, heavier weights and less repetition add bulk to the muscles BUT please realise that this is only over a period of regular practice and building the weights up slowly.
