Does tubectomy lead to loss of sex drive in women?
Q: Does tubectomy reduce the sexual urge in women? If yes, then what is to be done to bring this to normal?
A:A simple, straightforward tubectomy, without any other concomitant procedure, performed by a competent obstetrician-gynaecologist, will not affect the sexual urge in a woman in any way. Either there is another cause, or its all your imagination. There is a syndrome analogous to this in men. They imagine all sorts of "weaknesses" following vasectomy. Cheer up, and if it continues in spite of this "e-pep" talk, talk to your doctor again.
