Does the deficiency of vitamin D increases the size of the head?

Q: Does the deficiency of vitamin D increases the size of the head and cause misalignment of the eyeball in the eye of the infants ( 3 - 9 months old)?

A:Vitamin D deficiency can cause increase in size of the deficiency due to bossing of forehead and back portion of the head. Unless it is a very severe deficiency of Vitamin D which has been neglected for a long time so much so that orbits which contain eyeballs are also affected, usually it does not cause misalignment of eye balls. If there is enlargement of the head along with misalignment of eyeballs, one must rule out other causes in the brain which can cause this.
