Do nasal polyposis cause headache and dizziness

Q: I have polyposis in my nose which was diagnosed on X-ray and by CT scan. They cannot be seen by examining the nostrils and doctors have advised me surgery. I am not taking steroids prescribed by the doctors. I get a headache and dizziness when I move my head rapidly or when I standup or change posture suddenly. Is the problem because of this? Kindly advise.

A:There are many causes of the type of headache and dizziness that you have. Sinusitis or polyposis can also be one of the factors. Local steroids have little side effects and can be taken even for a long duration. Another common cause for this type of dizziness may be related to cervical proprioceptives which is seen in people engaged in work related to head bending, computers etc. For complete evaluation see an ENT doctor.
