Do I have arthiritis?

Q: Q. I am a 35 years old man weighing 54 kg and height is 55.3 feet tall. I had a car accident that triggered pain in my left hip. The In MRI it showed a cyst, which was aspirated 6 months ago but my pain has not settled down since then. On a website one likely symptom for arthritis does match the pain I have. My hip joint is affected and I have problem in walking. I have pain in my hip, groin, and down the thigh. Does that mean I have arthritis? I also came to know that diet affects arthritis. Should I stop eating the foods like – rice, dal, rajma, bhindi, arbi, urad dal, chole, oranges and lemon juice? I am a vegetarian and eat eggs occasionally. Please suggest a diet to help my condition. The doctor said that I will eventually get arthritis in few years, but it seems that I have already got the symptoms and I don’t want to get worse. Please advise.

A:Your symptoms do match that of arthritis, but you can pull on as long as you can. Surgery is a wonderful opportunity to put you back on your feet, in case the arthritis becomes disabling. Food has nothing to do with arthritis, but you must keep your weight down, and avoid exertion such as sitting on the floor, sitting cross-legged, stairs etc.
