Q: MY SON (14)IS SUFFERING FROM CHRONIC COUGH (DRY) SINCE 2 MONTHS HIS X-RAY CHEST REPORT IS NORMAL,THE BLOOD COUNT TLC -8400,DLC-N-60%L-28%E-11% AND M-1%HB-87%ESR-18 AVAERAGE.GOT TREATMENT WITH ROXID.BANOCIDEAND CETZINE BUT WITHOUT RELIEF HIS APPETITE IS ok THERE IS NO FEVER PLEASE ADVICE

A:Your child probably has an allergic cough especially if the cough isworse at night or with exercise or crying. He should be treated withinhaled broncodilator + inhaled steroid over a period of atleast three weeksto get relief. Please consult a good Pediatrician or a pulmonologist toguide therapy.
