Children - hydrocephaly

Q: My 4 year old child is suffering from hydrocephalus. At this age he has borne 4 surgeries but is not yet well. He is also suffering hernia due to hydrocephalus. Can you help me?

A:Repeated surgeries after shunt insertion are not uncommon. If your baby is developing normally and the shunt is function, nothing needs to be done now. However, the hernia needs to be operated upon as it will not go on its own.
