Child - white hair
Q: My daughter is 5 year old and very healthy. Recently I observed that she has only one white coloured hair of full length, otherwise hair growth is normal. Please advise why this is and what precaution to be taken to prevent further.
A:One white hair is not something you should worry about. It is normal for children to have one or two grey or white hair on their scalp. Greying of hair, if genetic, cannot be prevented. If you or your spouse have a history of premature greying of hair, then your daughter may also get grey hair at an early age. There is no precaution that can be taken to delay the greying of hair if it is hereditary. Make sure that she eats a healthy and well balanced diet. There is nothing more that you can do.
