Can I travel for 6 days leaving my week-old-child behind?
Q: My baby is a week old now. We are scheduled to travel 25 days later. Is it advisable to for me to travel for 6 days, leaving the baby with my parents? My husband and I had planned this a year back and we have made the payment also, which is non refundable. Since this is an expensive investment, please advise.
A:If travel is a must, you may leave your baby with your parents and they can give her milk with a spoon and katori and not offer her a bottle, as this would reduce the chances of getting her on to breast feeds later on. They can give her any formula milk like NAN 1. You must continue to express milk at least 8 times every day while you are away.
