Can I go to the gym regularly?

Q: I am a 43 years old healthy male. I have a thin built and I have joined a gym near my house, where I go every day in the morning for work out for about one hour. After the work out I eat a lot, and I feel good all day. Is OK for me to gain weight and do the work out at this age? Can this routine create problems in future or it is good for my health?

A:If you are in good health, eat a balanced and nutritious meal and work out moderately, then there should be no reason why you will have any problems. The key is to keep your intake healthy and nutritious and your exercise schedule balanced (aerobics, muscle strength, endurance and flexibility) so that your weight gain should not be too much. Even as the body slows down with age, this will counter the process of ageing and keep you in good spirits.
