Q: What are the chances of recovery after total hip replacement with active Polymyositis. I want to know if same facility in available in Delhi and any good surgeons.

A:The chances of success of THR in active polymyositis is very limited rather dismal. It is therefore advised that patient with this disease should not undergo THR since the muscles which help in mobility may not be strong enough, therefore defeating the purpose of operation.
