Are there any medicines to build immunity?

Q: I have 2 sons aged 4 and 1 years. Since the time my elder son started going to school (KG1) he frequently started getting cold, cough and fever. The peadiatrician here ( in Oman) says that it is common that children fall sick when they get exposed to other children. My son falls sick once every month and goes for antibiotics (augmentine) atleast once in 2 months. I would like to know what diet and medicines I should give to build my child's immunity? I give pediummune and immunosine medicines but dont know if it is ok to give these daily. My friends have suggested to go for homeopathy medicines but I am not to sure abour these. Please suggest.

A:It is not common in this age group to have 5 - 6 episodes of viral infections every year, may be your child gets them little more. I am sure your pediatrician must have ruled out that he does not have any other problem. There are no medications to boost immune system, if he is on bottle feeds, stop them. Good thing about this is that most children outgrow them with time.
