Are our feelings for different people governed by their body shapes or looks?

Q: What exactly makes us differentiate people and channelise our emotions for different people in our life? Why the feeling of love and respect for our parents is different from the way we treat our friends or the way we love our life partner? Do these different feelings of ours towards different people have anything to do with physical shapes and body odour, i.e. each person looks unique and different from the other and our brain is already pre-programmed to express different emotions. What is the scientific reason behind this? Please put some light on this.

A:Different feeling towards our loved one is not due to body shapes or odour, or the way they look, it is due to closeness of our relationships with them and our experiences with them. The attachment theories explain some of it. If you read psychology textbooks it will give you lot of information on the subject.

Did you just wanted to know the information, or is there something bothering you? If you can write to me via Doctor NDTV, you are well versed with internet, which is source of information too. If something specific is bothering you and it is difficult to ask, please go and see a counsellor who may be able to help. Best wishes.
