Am I on right medication for acidity?

Q: I am a 41 years old male suffering from acidity. Three months back, the doctor has prescribed Pentocide-HP for a week. Presently, I am taking the antacids - Pentocide - DSR / Nexpro IT with Digene. But the problem remains unchanged. Should I need to change the treatment? Now I am suffering from acidity, bitterness, headache, gastric problem, no hunger, improper motion, muscular / joint pain in legs and feels irritation. Someone has suggested to me to take amla juice and aloe vera juice. How can acidity be managed?

A:In terms of the indigestion, it is excellent that you have already had an eradication of H. pylori - the bacteria that causes gastric ulceration. Gas, unsatisfactory motions and general aches and pains are often more related to an irritable bowel. This is not a disease but more a result of your way of life. It is often seen in people who are anxious and stressed but can occur in anybody and is probably within the normal limits for the population. I suggest you keep taking an antacid (but no more antibiotics as your H. pylori should have been eradicated), and try a natural peppermint oil compound like Colpermin.
