Am I having swine flu?

Q: I am a 33 years old man suffering from fever for the last 4 days, but not continuously. Sometimes I have no fever but at night the temperature rises to 101-103 degree F. I get chills and have swelling under one of the armpits, there is loss of appetite, sore throat, etc. The doctor prescribed me antiviral drugs for three days along with Paracetamol; but even after three days the fever is there. My blood sample shows low WBC otherwise its ok. Is it swine flu? Please advise.

A:Fever with swelling under the armpits and the other symptoms you have described could be due to a bacterial infection even with low counts. You should take some antibiotics but only after consultation with your doctor. If you are not breathless then you need not get tested for swine flu yet but get a chest X-ray done.
