Dr Andrew Herxheimer is a clinical pharmacologist who has taught at various medical schools in London. He is interested in all aspects of providing unbiased, clear and concise information about treatments to professionals and the public. For many years he edited "Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin", which contains no advertising and is published by the UK Consumers' Association. He now works part-time in the international Cochrane Collaboration www.Cochrane.de, and is helping to build a Database of Individual Patient Experience of Illness (DIPEx).
