Why are my palms and feet swelling up?

Q: I want to know why do my palms and feet swell up. My finger rings become tight too. This happens mostly in summers and sometimes in winters too. My doctor asked me do to various tests but he told me that my blood serum is cloudy. He has advised me to avoid oily food, so that my cholesterol is under control. He said if I don't lose some weight and if I don't avoid oily, greasy food; chances are that I may get a heart attack or get a blood pressure problem in future. I have also got an appendix but the doctor says that if the pain arises and is out of control, then only they will operate it.

A:The swelling of your palms an feet could be due to heat. I hope you have got your kidney functions and lipid profile done. Also check your thyroid functions and urine routine and microscopy. Every one has an appendix and it need not be operated unless it is infected. Ovarian cyst can occur before periods and is most likely innocuous. Please get a repeat ultrasound scan done after the period.
