What is the remedy for psoriasis?

Q: I am a 39 years old woman suffering from psoriasis for the last 15 years. It was initially on the feet and I soon developed a problem where there was a watery sticky substance discharge with severe itching. It has been spreading to both my feet for the last 2 years. There are also some small patches on both my knees with itching. My feet are affected and the joints of the knees also pains as I cannot walk properly. Please suggest a remedy.

A:Your problem of psoriasis needs to be accessed and accordingly, one can plan for topical therapy with emollients, tars, dithranol, calcipotriol, tazarotene, corticosteroids, phototherapy or systemic therapy with methotrexate, acitretin, cyclosporine or biologic agents (costly form of therapy). You need to consult a dermatologist. Psoriasis is known for remissions and relapses; look for control of the disease and mercy of God.
