What is causing pain in my knee joints?

Q: I am 35 years old and pre-diabetic. I used to go for morning walks nearly 4-5 km daily. Recently, I felt some pain in my knee joints and hence pain while walking, running and climbing stairs. When I consulted my orthopaedic specialist, he prescribed some medicines, which didn't help so later he administered depopred injection directly into my knee. It was very painful but still I have no relief. What are the precautions to be taken to avoid joint pains?

A:Knee pain bad enough to bar you from activities of daily living is not a good thing. You need to see a knee specialist, may be get an MRI done to diagnose the cause of your pain and how to prevent your knee from becoming worse. Nothing more than this is possible at this juncture.
