What is causing my leg pain?

Q: I am a 23 years old female having leg pain (especially in left leg). I consulted many doctors, who told me that I am suffering from arthritis. My blood test result showed TSH - 8.4, CPK – 300 and positive CRP. My brother has muscular dystrophy. Am I suffering from arthritis?

A:You have leg pain in left side and occasionally on right side also. Your CRP level is high s/o inflammation, your CPK level also is little high which is s/o muscle disease. Your TSH level is high too s/o hypothyroidism. You have fam/ h/o Muscular dystrophy which can run in family. So by your description you seems to be having a multisystem problem. For this you require detailed check up by Rheumatologist as well as by neurologist to find out the exact cause of the problem.
