What are trans fats?

Q: Trans Fats are Patrially hyderogenated vegetable oil. Now does this mean that when we cook rice in ghee and vegetables in oil then these two fats equals to trans fats?

A:Trans fat is an artificial byproduct of the hydrogenation process of vegetable oils, developed as an inexpensive method. Oil is unsaturated fat and ghee is saturated fat. It is better to use them separately, but that does not mean that together it becomes hydrogenated fat. Use saturated fat sparingly, also limit unsaturated fat.
