I want to restore my lost leg, what should I do?

Q: I am 24 years old. Last year in a train accident I lost my left leg, left palm and all my five fingers. Now I have only half a palm. The doctor has done skin grafting on it and the skin has improved now, but I don't have fingers and palm. I want my leg to be like before. Is there some doctor or organisation or any other facility, which can help me improve? I would like to know, as I really need help. I can walk but not without shoes and it is really very painful. I am not married but plan to marry soon. Hope you will help me.

A:I feel sorry to hear about your case. I think you can lead a near normal life with a prosthetic limb as far as your leg is concerned and there are numerous organisations that provide the prosthetic limbs. But as regards your left hand, though the appearance can be improved by prosthetic adjustment, I am sorry that the normal function of the hand can not be restored.
