Q: I have severe eczema in my palm. patch test was done,it should positive to hair dye, which i do not use. applied elocom, but only temporary relief. Eczema is seen below the skin, filled with water, look like small pimples under the skin. if opened, a oily fluid comes out. (I have recently feeling breathing problem and doctors its the start of asthma. I was having asthma when i was 6-8 years old) Pls advise treatment

A:You are probably atopic who have tendency to develop hand eczema. Avoid strong and medicated soaps. Use wet compresses when lesion oozes and then use steroid creams. Dont stop steroid cream all of sudden. Taper the steroid application.
