Q: I have a mole on my left foot near, a little between thumb and finger. I have this for the last 3-4 months. First i thought that its a corn so applied corn removal band aids for a week but, it did not disappear. rather, it became bigger. It is into a thread form which pains when hit. i am planning to get it removed surgically. please advise!!!

A:Moles may be innocuous, but some can be dangerous. Recent onset moles, especially those becoming larger, often need surgical removal. It is difficult to say what sort of mole you have, without seeing it. Please visit your surgeon urgently, and take his advice.
