A:There is no drug or any remedy to increase platelet counts at present. Low platelet counts after viral fever is not uncommon and it may last little longer. We don't know about the degree of low platelet counts. If they are severely low (<20,000/uL, then you should see a hematologist and may need thorough evaluation including bone marrow examination to exclude other causes.
