How can a tilted tailbone be managed?
Q: The tailbone of my 30 years old wife is a bit tilted and that causes a lot of problem in seating on the hard surface. She has also undergone physiotherapy. Please suggest any remedy for the same.
A:Your wife has a problem called coccydynia. She should strictly avoid sitting on a hard surface. Instead use an air ring as a cushion till the pain is there. Dip the same ring in a tub of warm water and sit in it for about 20 min morning & evening. Avoid constipation, take a mild analgesic. If not getting better in a month or so will require local cortisone and manipulation under anaesthesia.
