How are small growths on the tongue managed?
Q: I got a small growth in my tongue for the last one month. A few days back, another such growth was found on the lower side of the tongue. I have been advised by the doctor to get it operated and send it for biopsy. What should I do? What can be the consequences of this?
A:A growth requires histological confirmation. If it is less than 1 cm in size, excision biopsy is done. If larger FNAC is done. Treatment depends on the histological diagnosis.
