Q: I am a 32 years old man recovering from chicken pox. On the last two occasions when I tried intercourse with my wife, I did not get good erections and thus, the intercourse was very brief. Both were quite unsatisfactory experiences which is quite strange as we always have enjoyable sex. Could chicken pox have an effect on my libido or my ability to have and maintain an erection?

A:Chickenpox as such is not known to affect libido or erection in an adverse manner, so don't worry about it on that count. It probably was due to the stress that any illness causes.
