Could I have TB in the uterus?

Q: I am married for the last 7 years. I had TB 2 years back, and a gland on my neck was swollen and FNAC test was done and then I was diagnosed with TB. I took this TB medicine for 9 months and the course ended last year. I have been trying to conceive. Is there a chance of me having TB in uterus? If yes, what are its symptoms and how to get it diagnosed and what is the medication for the same?

A:Consult a gynaecologist for your problem regarding conceiving a baby. Tuberculosis of female genital tract (particularly fallopian tubes) is a very common cause of infertility among women in India. But it is curable. Your history is incomplete and it will be foolish to even make a guess. No doubt you had tuberculous lymphadenitis for which you have already taken a full treatment. For tuberculosis of any organ, treatment remains the same. However I suggest that you should consult your treating physician and/gynaecologist and should not indulge in diagnosing yourself!
