Are benefits of wine equivalent to those of eating grapes?

Q: It is said that Resveratrol present in red wine is an effective and preventive against heart problems. Is this true? Would the consumption of red/black grapes be equally effective? Does the wine have any special qualities, which makes it more effective?

A:Red wine contains flavenoids including Resveratrol, which are anti oxidants. These anti oxidants are present in a lot of fresh fruits but in limited quantity but are more abundant in red wine due to chemical process of fermentation taking place during maturation of wine and therefore consumption of red wine gives greater benefits than consumption of grapes.
