While practicing surgery in US, Dr Trehan realized that all Indians cannot afford to travel abroad to get class medical services. India needs to have an advanced medical institution for itself. This is when he came up with the idea of Medanta. Dr Naresh Trehan set up a medical institution which will not only treat patients, but also train future doctors and innovate medical procedures. Medanta- The Medicity is spread in an area of 43 acres in Gurugram area of the National Capital region. Primarily, the institute holds specialization in cardiology. The institute has 32 institutions to meet the needs of over 20 different specialities.
