Would Minoxidil help me grow hair on my forehead?

Q: I am a 22 years old female. I have a very broad forehead, which makes me appear bald. Can I use Minoxidil solution to grow hair on my forehead?

A:Please note that Minoxidil will cause hair growth only in hear-bearing areas and not in non-hairy areas. In your case, it is not going to help to grow hair on your forehead. Rarely, as a side effect some patients who use Minoxidil develop hairs on the forehead, chin, cheeks and upper back. But please remember that it is a side effect.
