Will speaking while pressing the thyroid and cricoid cartilage change my voice?

Q: Whenever I press the point between thyroid cartilage and cricoid cartilage and speak, it produces a man like voice I cherish. I haven't practiced speaking by pressing the point for a long time. I assume the actors who undergo voice modulation lessons do something similar to sound better. If I try to speak in that way, presumably in the privacy of my room for a long time (say one year), will it change my voice forever?

A:Pressing on the point you mentioned changes the lie and the tone of the vocal chords and thus the change in your voice. If you want a male like voice, surgery is possible, provided you are properly tested in a voice lab. Otherwise some exercises given by the speech therapist also help.
