Q: My age is 37 and my wife’s age is 32 years. We together were administered Hepatitis A vaccine (including our two kids of 3 and 8 years) at the 0, 1, 6 (months) intervals, which I now came to know should have been as 0, 6 i.e. two doses only. My query is whether the overdose of Hepatitis A vaccine nullifies its immunisation either in my family members or myself?

A:There are no potential harmful biological effects of administering an extra dose of Hepatitis A vaccine. Only it would have cost you more and there is no additional benefit.
