Q: I am in the 23rd week of my pregnancy. I had an ultrasound in the 20th week and the results show that there is a small difference in the size of my child's kidneys. So the doctor has asked me to go for another scan, possibly at the end of 30th week. She told me that everything is perfect now, but they need to check this once again. I am very worried. If the problem persists then what will happen to my child?

A:You should continue your pregnancy. Small size difference in kidneys may not be abnormal. No intervention is required at present. Your child needs to be evaluated after birth if there is any defect in the kidneys.
